1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the site. This Cookie Policy explains how LoveBoard, operated by Better Version, Inc. ("we", "our", or "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Service to function properly. These include session cookies that keep you logged in, CSRF protection tokens, and workspace selection preferences. Without these cookies, the Service cannot operate. These cookies do not require your consent.
  • Functional cookies:Used to remember your preferences and settings, such as your cookie consent choices. Note that some preferences, such as your theme (light/dark mode), are stored in your browser's local storage rather than cookies.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service by collecting and reporting information. We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics for this purpose. These cookies are only set with your consent.

3. Cookies We Use

Below is a list of the main cookies we use:

Essential Cookies

  • Session token cookie: Maintains your authenticated session. Expires when you log out or after 7 days of inactivity.
  • Session data cookie: Caches session information including your active workspace selection. Expires after 5 minutes and is automatically refreshed.

Analytics Cookies

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): Used to distinguish unique visitors and track session information. The _ga cookie expires after 2 years; the _ga_* cookie expires after the session. These cookies are set only after you provide consent.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics:Cloudflare collects performance and analytics data through its network. Cloudflare's analytics are privacy-focused and do not use client-side cookies for tracking.

Local Storage

We also use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

4. Cookie Consent

When you first visit our website, we display a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies are always active because they are necessary for the Service to function. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings link available in the footer of our website.

Analytics cookies are only activated after you provide your consent. If you decline analytics cookies, we will not set any non-essential cookies and your use of the Service will not be affected.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages:

  • Stripe: May set cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention. These are considered essential for completing transactions securely.
  • Featurebase: May set cookies for the knowledge base and product feedback widget.
  • Google Analytics: Sets cookies for analytics purposes as described in Section 3. Subject to your consent.

We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective third-party privacy policies for more information about how they handle your data.

6. Managing Cookies

In addition to our cookie consent banner, most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically find these settings in the "Options" or "Preferences" menu of your browser. You can:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning correctly. You may not be able to log in or use key features if essential cookies are disabled.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. We currently do not respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry standard for how to interpret them. We do, however, honor your cookie preferences as set through our cookie consent banner and your browser settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
